Alfia Auto was established by Clayton van Zyl in September 2007, following a short time at Arnold Chatz cars in Craighall Park, where he met his now partner/ brother-in-law, Giovanni Milani. At first, the company was just a dream; something to which the two keen Alfa Romeo enthusiasts simply aspired. After much deliberation and thought, Clayton decided to take the step and the risk and start the company…and marry Giovanni’s sister! In 2010, after the business had been running for 3 years, Giovanni joined forces with Clayton and the rest, as they say in most clichéd novels, is history.
Alfia Auto has quickly become a household name associated with excellent service, personalised attention and true Italian passion. Alfia Auto prides itself on fair, honest and affordable service, while Clayton and Giovanni’s passion for Alfa Romeo, Fiat and well, just about any other make of vehicle has them striving to deliver work that is of the highest standards. The advice that Clayton and Giovanni give is always sound and of the best standard to give their customers peace of mind in any “motor emergency”. Most of the parts used to repair the beloved Alfa Romeos, Fiats and Subaru are directly imported from Italy and the tools are modern and of the best quality. These include special tools to do cambelts, to check faults and re-set service lights. Alfia Auto also carries out diagnostics, repairs and maintenance to both private individuals and fleets. In fact, they have been maintaining the Roto Rooter fleet for the past 10 years.
Alfia Auto also sources parts. Should the customer require spares that they are unable to source, Alfia Auto is the workshop to call. Clayton and Giovanni are able to import parts directly from overseas suppliers at the best possible prices to you, the customer.
